Liverpool have been backed to complete the signing of £106 million star
Alan Hutton has backed Liverpool to sign Argentine star Enzo Fernandez as well as Cody Gakpo.
Jurgen Klopp knows that he is a man that needs to delve into that transfer kitty and add some players to the squad that can make a real difference to the side – and that has led to all sorts of speculation.
Fernandes is a player that made a massive impact at the World Cup and there are now alot of big clubs interested in a potential deal for his services – especially as he proved that he is ready to take that next step in his career.
Liverpool have just completed the transfer signing of Cody Gakpo – who is one of the best young players in the game – but there is more talk that more players will be arriving.
And When asked if signing Gakpo will put the Reds off spending big money in January, Hutton told Football Insider: “Not necessarily.
“I think the midfield situation is somewhere they need to improve.
“I think Gakpo is a brilliant signing. I have always liked him. I think he will fit into the Premier League no problem.
“It is an excellent signing but I do not think it blows anything out of the water. I think moving forward he wants to strengthen in midfield so these guys will all be in the mix.“
Liverpool are one of the best sides in the game but they needed to revamp the side – and if they manage to secure the services of Fernandez – he would be a great signing.
