Liverpool closely monitoring€50m-rated prolific French winger
Liverpool are chasing a few attacking talents in the market, including Moussa Diaby. The Bayer Leverkusen attacker was tipped to depart in the summer, but his asking price proved difficult for interested sides to cough up. Moussa might seek a winter transfer away from the Bundesliga giants, as there is considerable interest in the winger.
Diaby was a big target for some of the PL sides, but no club came close to agreeing on a deal with the German giants. Apart from Newcastle United, even Man United are reportedly keen and now joined by Liverpool in registering an interest in France international.
The German manager has identified the need to bring in attacking reinforcements in winter and could switch his attention toward the 23-year-old winger. The Merseyside giants’ campaign has suffered due to multiple factors, and one of those is losing Mane.
Liverpool did not sign a good replacement for the Senegal winger and lost Luis Diaz to a long injury this campaign. The South American attacker is expected to remain sidelined until March, which could make Jurgen Klopp think about a new footballer next month.
The Frenchman could play on either wing, but Klopp is keen on bringing someone on the left side of the attack. A move could materialise if the price tag is in the Reds’ range, something they might have to negotiate with Bayer Leverkusen. In hindsight, Diaby could prove a good, shrewd signing for Liverpool, one who could improve their attack drastically.
