Liverpool in advanced talks with€20m-rated Serie A midfielder

 


Liverpool are ahead in line for the service of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. Morocco international has had a pretty memorable World Cup guiding his country to the semifinal. The Merseyside giants will try to offload a few fringe midfielders in winter which would further ease the path of Sofyan to arrive in Liverpool.

The German boss has been looking for options in central midfield and Amrabat’s string of fantastic displays caught his eye. Jurgen Klopp already had a meeting with his entourage over a possible deal and further discussion will take place in a second meeting.

The Reds have a pretty heavily stocked midfield but the likes of Milner, Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain are on the verge of leaving Liverpool. At the same time, Thiago and Henderson are entangled with their lingering injury problems.

Jurgen Klopp did try to stabilise the situation by agreeing to a loan deal for Arthur from Juventus but the Brazilian midfielder has been on the sidelines with a prolonged injury. In this situation, a new midfielder could be the only option and the German tactician is hoping to get on in January.

Tottenham are also very keen to have the service of the footballer but the Reds have a definite edge in the race. The Reds will try to offload a few fringe midfielders in winter which would further ease the path of the Morccan midfielder to arrive in Merseyside.
