Liverpool started talks with 25-year-old Mexico international

Alexis Vega has emerged on the radar of several big teams in Europe. Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Liverpool will closely monitor Mexico international at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Vega spent his formative years in Mexico before graduating from the Club Deportivo Toluca academy half a dozen years ago.

But Alexis has risen in stature since joining Deportivo Guadalajara four years ago. And the 24-year-old winger is now one of the best wide attackers in Europe, establishing himself as a pivotal figure for the Goats.

The Mexican forward has enjoyed a solid campaign thus far, chipping in with three goals and four assists in 18 games.

The Mexican’s exploits have not gone unnoticed either, with several high-profile teams keen on signing him. And Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Liverpool are tracking his progress.

The Merseyside giants might invest in a wide attacker after failing to aptly replace Sadio Mane in the summer.

Several footballers, including Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, have emerged on Liverpool’s radar. And Alexis Vega is also an option worth considering for the Reds heading into the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

As for Chelsea, Ziyech and Pulisic face uncertain futures at Chelsea, with the former out of favour with Graham Potter.

The 24-year-old forward will likely be a regular for El Tri at the World Cup.

And clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea, and the Reds will come calling if he makes an impression. It will be interesting to see how Alexis Vega fares in Qatar.
