"There waiting" - Journalist now hints Liverpool want to sign £300k-p/w PL star
Liverpool are keeping an eye on Mason Mount‘s situation at Chelsea, journalist Simon Phillips has informed GIVEMESPORT.
The England star is out of contract in 2024 and has so far failed to agree a new one with the Blues.
Last month, Phillips revealed that Chelsea would continue contract talks with Mount after the World Cup and that there was a confidence something would get done.
Nevertheless, until the attacking midfielder puts pen to paper on a fresh deal, there will continue to be speculation about other teams being interested in him.
Liverpool are one of those sides who are thought to have Mount, who is valued at around £77m by the CIES Football Observatory, on their radar.
According to The Guardian, the Reds are tracking the player. Elsewhere, a report from The Telegraph claims that it could take a £300,000-a-week offer to persuade him to stay at Stamford Bridge.
