Liverpool now interested in signing phenomenal £80m star at Anfield

Liverpool are interested in signing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, journalist Rudy Galetti has informed GiveMeSport.

The 24-year-old is being heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, but Galetti says both Liverpool and Chelsea are also in the race for his signature.

Back in December, transfer insider Dean Jones also told GMS that Liverpool are keen on Rice.

As of now, though, Premier League leaders Arsenal look to be the club who have the most interest in the Englishman.

In fact, according to The Telegraph, the north London outfit are hopeful of completing a £70m deal for him this summer.

Elsewhere, a report from The Guardian suggests West Ham want over £100m for their midfielder but may have to settle for a fee closer to £80m.

It is not impossible, but Liverpool do not seem to be the frontrunners for his signature at this moment in time.

According to the same report from The Guardian referenced earlier, Rice is “leaning towards joining Arsenal” this summer because of their manager Mikel Arteta.
