Liverpool told to pay €150m for Dortmund box-to-box midfielder
The price tag for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham has reportedly risen to €150m (£130m).
Bellingham is currently under contract with Dortmund until June 2025, but he has attracted interest from a number of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for the England international.
According to Mundo Deportivo, starting bids for Bellingham could begin around €150m (£130m), with Liverpool believed to be the player’s preferred destination.
While the 19-year-old is set to discuss his future with Dortmund in the near future, a recent report claimed that Paris Saint-Germain have opened talks with the German club about a possible transfer.
Dortmund’s asking price has supposedly increased following Bellingham’s performance at the 2022 World Cup, where he started all of England’s five games, registering one goal and an assist.
Since joining the Bundesliga side from Birmingham City in the summer of 2020, Bellingham has scored 19 goals and provided 21 assists in 112 appearances.
Meanwhile, Enzo Fernandez will reportedly only leave Benfica if his €120m (£103m) release clause is met by an interested club.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reported to be tracking Fernandez’s progress and have made contact with his representatives to register their interest.
Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United are also rumoured to be interested.
90min reports that the Portuguese club have told the player’s representatives that the release clause must be met if the Argentine is to leave the Estadio da Luz.
