'Ridiculous': BBC pundit absolutely blown away by Liverpool player against Wolves in the FA Cup

Liverpool and Wolves played out a thoroughly entertaining FA Cup third round tie at Anfield this evening to round off the day’s action.

Wolves looked reinvigorated under their new management team and put in a performance which suggests they’ll be more than ok in terms of fighting off relegation.

For Liverpool, there were some good signs but yet again, a few problems Jurgen Klopp won’t have been fond off.

However, one massive plus point for Klopp and Liverpool was seeing Darwin Nunez get on the scoresheet. The Uruguayan striker stroked home a delightful volley to bring the Reds level. It was the finish of a man in form, not of a player who hasn’t been hitting the net.

And watching on for the BBC, former Man City midfielder Michael Brown was super impressed with Nunez’s finish.

“That is a ridiculous goal. Trent Alexander-Arnold has all the space on the right hand side and he plays the ball really deep,” Brown said.

“Darwin Nunez is stepping onto it and he catches it as clean as you will ever see and guides it past the goalkeeper into the far corner. Ridiculous Finish.”

Nunez is already into double figures now for Liverpool, despite recent critics.
