Liverpool keeping tabs with 21-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder
Liverpool are all ready to bid for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo in the summer of 2023. Ecuador international has been a long-term transfer target for the Merseyside giants but they haven’t been able to get the deal done. But, the Reds haven’t given up on Caicedo, and are likely to return to the negotiation table in the summer.
Liverpool are struggling in the ongoing campaign. They are currently 10th in the PL with only 29 points out of a possible 60. They are likely to miss out on European football next campaign. With things crumbling at Anfield, the focus is now on the summer transfer window to revive the club.
The German manager will be focused on rebuilding the team and Moises is believed to be a part of his plan. The 21-year-old midfielder was a highly sought-after footballer in the winter transfer window. Many teams had enquired about his services and a few even bid for him.
Arsenal and Chelsea battled it out for his services but none of them tasted success. Arsenal had a £70m bid rejected by Brighton. The club was not set to let him go in January at any cost. The Ecuadorian midfielder is expected to leave in the summer but the price tag will surely be a sizable one considering he still has quite a few years left on his deal.
