Liverpool planning shock move for 22-year-old Asian attacker
Liverpool are eyeing up a move for LASK attacker Keito Nakamura at the end of the season. U21 Japan international has been in fantastic form this campaign, scoring 11 goals and picking up six assists across all tournaments. There is no doubt that the Merseyside giants need to add more quality and depth to their attacking unit.
And Keito could prove to be a quality acquisition for the Reds. Liverpool have struggled in the wide areas, especially due to the injuries to Jota and Diaz. The Merseyside giants are lacking in natural wide footballers apart from Salah and Diaz.
Bringing in Nakamura could prove to be a wise decision for the German boss next campaign. The 22-year-old winger has been linked with other European teams as well. And it will be interesting to see where the Japanese attacker ends up eventually.
The chance to join a club like the Reds could be a tempting proposition for the Asian. And he would get to showcase his qualities at a higher level with a move to the PL. Jurgen Klopp has a proven track record of improving youngsters, and he could play a crucial role in the development of Nakamura.
LASK will look to demand a premium for their prized asset. So the Reds will have to shell out a substantial amount of money to sign him. The Japanese attacker has a contract with LASK until the summer of 2025, and the Austrian club are under no pressure to cash in on him just yet.
