Football.london reports that the Reds are interested in acquiring Mason Mount from the Blues. After the season, they want to make a bid on the 24-year-old English international.

According to reports, Chelsea has attempted to extend the player’s contract. Mount, however, is dissatisfied with the current salary proposal and requests an increase. To what extent Chelsea can persuade him to sign a new deal with the club remains to be seen.

Since making his way into Chelsea’s starting lineup, the 24-year-old has been an integral part of the club’s success. His departure will be devastating to the team. The former Chelsea youth player has become an integral part of the Blues’ roster.

At the conclusion of the season, the Reds will be without key players like Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner, all of whom will be leaving as free agents. As a result, they will have to acquire many center midfielders during the next summer transfer window.
